SUMMARY
ADULT
Elongate; head, antennae, and elytra black; pronotum red. Head: vertex and front densely punctate; slightly depressed between eyes; medial sulcus absent; frons not projecting. Antenna: filiform; antennomere 1 clavate, subequal in length to 3; 2-3 cylindrical, 2 shorter than 1 or 3; 4-10 transverse, decreasing in length; 11 rounded at apex; 1-2 punctate; 3-11 setose. Pronotum: subquadrate; convex; slightly depressed behind middle; sparsely punctate, punctures subovate, large; side margined, narrowly canaliculate, straight for basal ½, then convergent; anterior angle acute, produced; posterior angle rectangular; pronotal length 1.0-1.1 mm (n=15); pronotal width 1.3-1.4 mm. Scutellum: pentagonal, micropunctate. Elytron: wider than base of pronotum; side margined, smooth, nearly straight; apices rounded, cojointly emarginate at suture; apical margin minutely serrulate; subconvex, slightly flattened at suture; with 11 striae at base; punctures large, deep; punctures near apex smaller and less impressed than those on disc; lateral margin slightly reflexed; elytral length 3.8-4.1 mm; elytral width 1.9-2.0 mm. Venter: black; pro-, meso-, and metasterna smooth in middle, punctate at sides; abdominal sterna 1-4 punctate at sides; 1 and 2 fused in middle; 4-5 setose; last abdominal sternite broadly truncate-emarginate, middle sinuate in male. Leg: femur and tibia punctate; tibia with fringe of setae at apex. Total length: 5.1-5.3 mm.
