SUMMARY
ADULT
Elongate; black with bluish sheen, antennae black; shining. Head: front concave; vertex punctate; carina between antennal bases. Antenna: as long as head and pronotum combined; robust; antennomeres 1-3 subequal in length. Pronotum: wider than long; lateral margin very slightly converging base to apex, canaliculate; posterior angle acute; anterior margin notched near anterior angle, with small tubercle in notch; anterior angle incurved; with large, round, variolose punctures; punctures sparse on disc, more dense laterally. Scutellum: transverse, subpentagonal; acutely pointed at apex. Elytron: lateral margin smooth; exterior apical angle finely serrate; slightly constricted behind humerus; convex; regularly but not coarsely punctate-striate, punctures nearly obsolete apically. Venter: last abdominal sternite broadly truncate-emarginate. Length: 4.5-5.6 mm.
