SUMMARY
ADULT
Narrow; red with black markings; antennae, head, abdomen, apical ½ of elytra black, and elytra with dark markings on humeri; elytra with basal ½ red. Head: depressed between eyes; sparsely punctate; strong medial carina present. Antenna: robust; as long as head and pronotum combined; antennomere 1 longest; 2-10 transverse, subequal in length; 11 pointed at apex. Pronotum: subquadrate; lateral margin straight for basal 4/5 then rounded, canaliculate; anterior angle rounded, not produced; posterior angle acute; convex; irregularly punctate; oblong basal impression present medially. Scutellum: pentagonal; smooth. Elytron: lateral margin straight, smooth, narrowly margined; apices nearly truncate; humerus rounded, not produced; weakly punctate-striate, punctures smaller apically. Total length: 7.0 mm.
